KamGrrl visits Munster

Munster St. Lambert's Church Nice gothic details, like the cages that the Anabaptists were confined to upon their "redemption" Among the sites in Munster one can visit the church where heretical leaders of  The Munster Rebellion  were confined after the rebellion was put down. After all the idealogy that all men are created equal needs to be quelled whenever it comes up, and the church is just the group to do it. Child labor still used in Munster to construct the church using this giant Hampster wheel The market still assembles outside the church along Pricipalmarkt Burkhard and Ute were our gracious guides

Same art, two different cities, years apart....

So we are walking along Roppongi Hills minding our own business on the way to get some Sushi one of the Sushi restaurants there (conveyor belt sushi so I was really looking forward to it), when out of one of Geigers nightmares walks a giant spider. It was enormous. Trying to find an angle in the plaza to take a full picture was a bit of a challenge.   Then it occurs to me, "I've seen this before!" but where? Restaurant Costel e Cia, Sao Bernando do Campo, REVIEW

They love their beef in Brazil and one great place to load up on the national passion of eating beef is Costel e Cia, a chain of specialty buffet restaurants throughout Brazil. Their specialty is RIBS (Costel = Rib in Portuguese). The rib meat is all served off the bone (essentially the "Prime Rib") portion of the meat prized in the US for larger roasts and succulent brunch buffet offerings. Here the beef rib is served well smoked slow cooked to simple shreddable tenderness. My picture does not do it justice This shot from the restaurants website is much more clear A nice salad bar with fresh greens and more exotic marinated veggies and fruit. Hearts of palm are nearly a staple while in Brazil. Hearts of Palm I find I enjoy on an strange level maybe because of the barbaric nature of murdering the young palm tree just to eat its succulent heart wood; like I said strange. . Polenta, farofa, kimchi all make for an esoteric but delightful salad bar at this Japa...

Churracaria Varandao: Sao Bernardo (Sao Paulo) Brazil

R$ 39.99  ~ $18 for a full Rodizio Lunch, Watch it , beverages are extra  A trip to Brazil with visiting an authentic  Rodizio or Churracaria  would be a waste. We have always been big fans of the Brazilian Barbecue Steak restaurants, as evidenced by the posts we make from or about them. Chicago , Atlanta .  But we have only experienced the Exported versions in the US and Germany. This is our first native experience... Inside is large and spacious, with plenty of people in for lunch Caipirinha for lunch?  When in Brasil..... As we have come to expect the quality of the beef and flavor is without equal at Brazilian Churrascuria. The beef flavor is really allowed to come through without embellishment. No steak sauces or drowned meat. Instead all the meat is gently salted right before cooking. The cuts of meat very different from US cuts are planned around the idea of leaving the tastiest parts of the fat in contact with the meat during cooking. ...
