  Central Falls, Rhode Island StringGrrrl's siblings live in Rhode Island, presumably to maximize distance from the 'rents in Michigan. Craft Brewing is not what normally comes to mind when people ask about Japan. They'll ask if you like raw fish (there is more to Japanese cuisine than Sashimi or Sushi), or they'll comment about Sake (there is more than just rice wine in Japan); but if you look, you will definitely find some. Craft Brewing is booming to the point where most major cities have multiple microbreweries, brew-pubs, craft beer specialty bars, and larger nationwide distributed hometown beers. Michigan claims a major part of that revolution as Michigan's own Bells and Founders have built global followings (it is not uncommon to find Bells or Founders in bars in Europe, Asia, and Latin America (I have not personally been to Africa, Australia, or Antarctica to verify ubiquity, but it has to be close).  This July StringGrrl and Eric did their damnedest to hit as many Michigan Breweries as we could. By the grace of the Georgia World Congress and SME, we were invited to attend a game between the Atlanta Hawks and New York Knickerbockers. It was our first time to be in the State Farm Arena, formerly the Philips Arena. Built on the site of the old Omni, it is a relatively new arena with all the bells and whistles when it comes to suites and boxes.  The lofts  are a less exclusive suite option designed with privacy in mind, but without being cut off from other fans. In the loft itself there is room for for 8 to 12 guests, with a standing table and monitor in the space.
