Goodbye Hitchbot, sorry we never met

Really sad to hear that HitchBot has come to an end.

Hitchbot is a robot from Port Credit, Ontario. conceived by Dr. David Smith (McMaster University), and Dr. Frauke Zeller (Ryerson University) to travel the world by the good acts of strangers. Or as put in his own words on the HitchBot blog:
Simply put, I am a free-spirited robot who wants to explore the world and meet new friends along the way. I am an avid instagrammer and tweeter. On my downtime, I can appreciate a good game of trivia and would never pass up any opportunities to bake desserts.
On instagram @hitchbot   has posted photos from the many travels around the world.

StringGirl felt a kind of kinship to the hitchhiking robot. She held out his success at crossing Canada and traveling Germany as proof that StringGirl 1.0 and 2.0 might still be traveling out there with some kind hearted souls who may have found them after their ditching of Eric between Zurich and Dusseldorf. But alas, all good trips have to end and the Hitchbot is now out of commission.
Had hoped that we would run into you on the road sometime but it was not meant to be.

Moonrise Kingdom, a cozy craft beer bar in Tokyo-Shinjuku

Craft Brewing is not what normally comes to mind when people ask about Japan. They'll ask if you like raw fish (there is more to Japanese cuisine than Sashimi or Sushi), or they'll comment about Sake (there is more than just rice wine in Japan); but if you look, you will definitely find some. everything you wanted to know about my accident but I wasn't ready to share  (u pdated 28th February. (Family Friendly video) 2) It was a sled šŸ›· . It's not an extreme sport. It's called a Rodelbahn (toboggan road) and is considered fun for the whole family. Sebastian supplied the sleds/toboggans, and after a full morning on the mountain skiing. We planned to use the few remaining hours of lift access to run the Rodelbahn. Totally reasonable. 3) The run isn't like a luge or bobsled but a trail down reasonable slopes (switchbacks adjacent to a green dot, blue square ski run) but maybe a bit narrower.
