Brisket, Zurich. Barbecue in Switzerland

Always on the lookout for new dining experiences in my office away from home, I wandered past Brisket, an apparent new place in Zurich Kreis 5.

After perusing their menu I was really looking forward to the Coffee & Black Pepper Brisket, but was disappointed (temporarily) when it was told to us that the Brisket had sold out for lunch. Instead they offered a beef rib, or 2 as it turns out.

The Beef Rib was our "consolation prize" after the lunch potion of Brisket sold out. It was not a dissappointment.
The inside of the restaurant smells exactly as a BBQ joint should, of smoked meat and charred flesh. My colleague and I both ordered the Brisket, and ended up with the Beef Rib. It was a hearty lunch portion which for the price of 24CHF is about the going rate for a sit down, served lunch in the area.

I look forward to a more in depth review of the meal offerings in the future as I while strongly encourage the office staff here to place it in the rotation of company meal locations.

Moonrise Kingdom, a cozy craft beer bar in Tokyo-Shinjuku

Craft Brewing is not what normally comes to mind when people ask about Japan. They'll ask if you like raw fish (there is more to Japanese cuisine than Sashimi or Sushi), or they'll comment about Sake (there is more than just rice wine in Japan); but if you look, you will definitely find some.
