DIA: Diego Rivera court

A visit to Detroit is not complete without a visit to the DIA and some time spent with the Diego Rivera Detroit Industry Murals. Covering most of the walls of the garden court of the DIA the mural is an epic monument to the artists views on Detroit and Industry and politics.

New at the DIA is an iPad powered tour of the Detroit Industry frescoes. Available for free to visitors (who just must leave ID and Credit Card as a security hold with staff) the tour allows user to carry an iPad around the court to hear a view detailed history and back story for the different views of the mural.


Here is the teaser of the app, but for the real deal stand in front of these marvels and soak it in yourself. A really great exhibit and one of the most beautiful spots in Detroit.

Moonrise Kingdom, a cozy craft beer bar in Tokyo-Shinjuku

Craft Brewing is not what normally comes to mind when people ask about Japan. They'll ask if you like raw fish (there is more to Japanese cuisine than Sashimi or Sushi), or they'll comment about Sake (there is more than just rice wine in Japan); but if you look, you will definitely find some. everything you wanted to know about my accident but I wasn't ready to share  (u pdated 28th February. (Family Friendly video) 2) It was a sled 🛷 . It's not an extreme sport. It's called a Rodelbahn (toboggan road) and is considered fun for the whole family. Sebastian supplied the sleds/toboggans, and after a full morning on the mountain skiing. We planned to use the few remaining hours of lift access to run the Rodelbahn. Totally reasonable. 3) The run isn't like a luge or bobsled but a trail down reasonable slopes (switchbacks adjacent to a green dot, blue square ski run) but maybe a bit narrower.
