Driving between Michigan and Rhode Island to visit Rey at his place near Providence is no small thing. If straight non-stop driving was easy it would only take 12.5 hours to cover 800 miles and pass through Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and finally Rhode Island. (Can't cut through Canada, right now, eh? COVID travel restrictions and all, eh?) So, why not make a proper trip of it and plan to drive in smaller chunks and get some paddling in while on the way?
