Milano, Italia: StringGirl gets the boot

The first stop in StringGirls itinerary was the Castello Sforzesco. There we find that things are not all good. Angry Peasants in front of the gate to Castello Sforzesco Soldiers move in to quell the unrest Not one to stick around during danger (we could hear the musket fire later), StringGirl and I move on to see what else we can find in old Milano. Duomo Duomo is next on the agenda. From the Piazza Del Duomo StringGirl takes the opportunity to snap a shot of me feeding the birds. Piazza Del Duomo galeria Science buff StringGirl finds Leonardo.

Schipol Airport: Escher was here

METAMORPHOSIS, by M.C. Escher is one of our favorites. We have been learning about M.C.E. in school and all about tessellation. This photo is from the M Terminal in Schiphol Airport in the Netherlands, one of StringGirls most visited airports.

Moon over Barcelona: StringGirl revisits the city of Gaudi

The moon rising over Barcelona StringGirl heads back for some more Tapas in BCN. The photo above of the moon rising over the Mediterranean makes Eric wish for a better camera. Hopefully this lousy 3MegaPix photo can do the moon justice from that night.  Out for an evening stroll through the Arc-de-Triomf and the Old Center of BCN. On her way to Tapas. Tapas in the Old Center of Barcelona. Those are Pimentos de Pedron with Jamon Iberico  A plate of Pulpos (octopus) and Patatas (potatoes)
